League Rules

 

1) You may match 4 cards throughout the season. Cards may be matched inside or outside foursomes. Only one matched card per 9 holes played will count!

 

2) Regular season champions will be determined by totaling all points earned for the 18 scores submitted.

 

3) You must have 15 scores to qualify for post-season play. No forfeits! If someone cannot finish the league or is removed from the league, all opponents will receive 6 points. 


4) If you are 65-84, you may play the senior tees and 85+ can play the super senior tees. You must declare this prior to the first match and cannot go back and forth. Senior tees are defined by the forward position of the white tee box and 20 yards further of the whites on #5. An exception to senior tee boxes is on box money holes (4&7), all players will tee from the same location. #4 - play from whites; #7 - play from golds.

 

5) In fairness to your opponent, make sure you hole all your putts if you are matching cards outside your foursome.

 

6) Players may decide between themselves to play as strictly by the rules of golf as they wish. Otherwise, the league permits" rolling the ball" in the fairway only! If a. bunker is in bad condition, rake and place your ball.

 

7) A special rule applies to hole #5. If a ball is lost while attempting to drive over the dogleg, you may take a drop on the forward most tee with a one stroke penalty.

 

8) A special rule applies to hole #8. If a tee shots lands in the fairway and rolls under the OB fence, you may drop at that point without penalty. A tee shot that flies over the fences OB.

 

9) 0n any hole, if a ball is struck OB, you must take the stroke and distance penalty defined by the rules of golf. If a ball is lost in the rough or in a hazard, you may take a one stroke penalty and drop in the vicinity of the lost ball area or within two club lengths of the hazard as defined by the rules of golf. Players may determine what is fair between them, or play 2 balls and have the rules committee make the decision.

 

10) If you fall behind 6 weeks (excluding injury or illness) a letter will be mailed to you from the rules committee removing you from the league.

 

11) Post-Season Matches: If you tie after 9 holes, you will then go back and play hole #9 until there is a winner
